X-15 Class utilises Starboard’s Universal Connect System (UCS) as the streamlined core of its one-design racing foil setup. Built from durable aluminium for maximum stiffness, durability and accessibility, the system ensures consistent performance across the fleet while keeping the setup robust and cost-effective. The additional 3 cm of fuselage length delivers increased control and stability at high speeds, while optional internal angle spacers allow fine-tuning of performance. Key Features
UCS CONNECTION
The Universal Connection System (UCS) delivers up to 3x the torsional stiffness of previous drop-through style connection systems. Double rows of side-by-side mast-fuse screws distribute loads both laterally and longitudinally, creating maximum stability, while the supported mast-fuse saddle preserves the fuselages full structural integrity by eliminating the material cut-outs required by traditional drop-through systems. A unique sleeve-saddle fuse-wing connection provides further stability and support for the stiffest overall connection between mast, fuselage and front/tail wings.
