One-design Race
The X-15 Class uses a longer 100cm racing mast. For Senior, U19, and U17 racers use the ultra-high modulus C600 Carbon and U13 / U15 use the robust V8 Aluminium option – both compatible with Starboard’s Universal Connection System (UCS) for enhanced stiffness and security through dual bolt pairings. Both race-ready masts support high speed water clearance and stability across a wide wind range, ensuring reliable performance in fast-paced competitions.

Key Features
UCS CONNECTION
The Universal Connection System (UCS) delivers up to 3x the torsional stiffness of previous drop-through style connection systems. Double rows of side-by-side mast-fuse screws distribute loads both laterally and longitudinally, creating maximum stability, while the supported mast-fuse saddle preserves the fuselages full structural integrity by eliminating the material cut-outs required by traditional drop-through systems. A unique sleeve-saddle fuse-wing connection provides further stability and support for the stiffest overall connection between mast, fuselage and front/tail wings.

MAXIMUM RIGIDITY

- Featuring a thin, anti-cavitation front profile that reduces drag for high-speed performance and enhanced gybing.
- Available in C600 UHM carbon construction for increased stiffness and performance. C600: Ultra-high modulus UHM carbon fibre (tensile modulus from 600 GPa and higher).
