A day for steady strokes rather than one more burst of speed. The second WINDY SUP Hangang 60 km Paddle takes place on Saturday, October 17, 2026—a long journey from Nanji to Gimpo Bridge and Ttukseom, finishing back at Nanji.

This time, Starboard Korea Magazine shares a community SUP event focused on covering distance at your own pace rather than chasing a race position.

Endurance, mental strength and steady paddling

The poster carries three words: Endurance, Mental strength and Training. Together, they frame 60 km as a challenge of sustaining your own rhythm over time, beyond a number on a results sheet.

This paddle is a distance challenge suited to each participant’s abilities rather than a contest for rankings or times. Plan around your fitness and experience, and check participation options and arrangements with WINDY SUP in advance.

Three stages centered on Nanji

The route consists of three stages centered on Nanji.

The total distance is 60 km. Paddle from Nanji toward Gimpo Bridge and back, then continue to Ttukseom before returning to Nanji to finish.

Lunch is planned at Ttukseom, with a rest stop at Nanji. Ask WINDY SUP about food and supply arrangements before taking part.

Choose a challenge you are ready for

When planning a 60 km paddle, consider your fitness and distance experience alongside the schedule. The following preparations can help.

Check whether you can join the full route or selected stages, and confirm joining and return points

Plan hydration, meals and resupply; check personal equipment and safety gear suited to the conditions

Agree emergency contact methods with companions and a return plan if you stop early

Check the day’s weather, waterway restrictions and the organizers’ safety instructions

Making decisions that suit your condition matters more than finishing at any cost. Ask through the WINDY SUP Café about eligibility, fees, registration deadlines, equipment rental, insurance and safety support.
