From Training to International Racing: America One Racing’s X-15 Development Team

America One Racing has chosen X-15 as a key class for athlete development. We explore how it connects training with competition.

America One Racing (A1R) has adopted the X-15 one-design wingfoil class as a core platform for its development team. Announced on March 12, 2026, the initiative connects training camps, specialist coaching and international competition to help American athletes progress together.

The program’s defining feature is the link between training and racing. Both Long Beach and Kaneohe, Hawaii, were planned as three days of training followed by three days of competition. Athletes test what they have learned, then identify the focus for their next training block.

One-design equipment provides a shared basis for training. A fair, accessible setting helps athletes concentrate on long-term progress. Here X-15 serves as a framework connecting coaching and competitive experience as well as an equipment package.

The published tour schedule reflects the plans announced in March, with some events marked unconfirmed. Check A1R’s latest information for current opportunities and requirements. For aspiring racers, the example shows how coaching, training partners and real competition connect alongside the length of a camp.

This explainer draws on the X-15 Class announcement of A1R’s development team on March 12, 2026. It describes the training and competition plans at that time, rather than reporting verified event outcomes. Checked September 8, 2026.
