The first X-15 World Championships are scheduled for November 4–8, 2026, at Port Nàutic Ibiza in Spain. Hosted by Club Mare Nostrum, registration opened on July 20.
World championship titles will be awarded in five divisions: senior men and women, U19 youth men and women, and U15 juniors. Masters and additional categories will receive separate awards. Registration is on November 4, followed by the first races that afternoon, with competition continuing through November 8.
Competitors may bring equipment that complies with the class rules or rent a complete race setup. Athletes considering overseas equipment transport may want to explore rental first. Availability, costs and included equipment are listed on the official registration page.
A valid X-15 Class Membership is required. Alongside the announcement, consult notices, race documents and current schedules on the official event page. Working through registration and equipment preparation will clarify what is needed for the inaugural worlds.

Bring your equipment or rent at the venue
Competitors may bring their own equipment compliant with X-15 Class rules. A complete race setup can also be rented to reduce the burden of overseas transport. Rental details are provided during official registration.
A valid X-15 Class Membership is essential. Entry is first come, first served, so once you decide to compete, check membership, flights, accommodation and equipment transport or rental together.
Start your preparation by checking class membership and the official registration page.
Recording the environmental impact of the journey
All participants complete a carbon-footprint tracker recording travel to and from the event. X-15 events use athletes’ travel records to support mangrove planting, connecting coastal restoration with the environmental impact of travel.
For every X-15 board produced, the Starboard Plastic Impact Program supports the collection of 6 kg of plastic from vulnerable coastlines and the planting of three mangrove trees.
The event connects the thrill of racing with care for the sea we ride on.
